Our Goals

Raising awareness and motivation among youth and young adults to join public service

Strengthening the trust of Israeli citizens in public service

Increasing public discourse on the importance of public service in Israeli society
A unique opportunity for change

Public service is a crucial platform for shaping a shared Israeli common ground and a key driver of socio-economic prosperity.
A more professional, civic-minded, diverse, and efficient public service will improve the quality of services for citizens, will help reduce inequalities, and will strengthen Israel’s national resilience.
In the wake of the war, there is a broad sense of awakening and public responsibility to take ownership of Israel’s future. Now is the time to reinforce the ethos of public service and to position it as a clear social goal: the best should choose public service.
About the Center
“In Noam's way” was established as a partnership between the Abramovitz family and the nonprofit "Tashtit – For Strengthening Public Service".
The Center will work to instill among the young people of Israel—the future generation—the value of public service as a meaningful path of action and fulfillment, driven by a spirit of mission, commitment, and responsibility toward Israeli society.
Its activities will take place in pre-military academies, schools, youth movements, academic institutions, leadership programs, and in every educational and social framework for youth and young adults in Israel.
Noam’s legacy—the way she lived her values, inspired others, and embodied a deep commitment to Israeli society—serves as the guiding inspiration for the Center that bears her name.

About Noam Abramovitz

Noam Abramovitz (July 26, 2004 – October 7, 2023), the daughter of Adva and Yossi and sister to Ofri, Yiftach, and Yuval, grew up in Kibbutz Givat Brenner as a wise, curious, and compassionate child. From an early age, she stood out with her presence—independent, sensitive, and with a profound sense of responsibility. She was the spirit that held the family together and believed deeply in the power of public action for the common good.
In every sphere she took part in—her studies, her role as a counselor in the HaNoar HaChadash youth movement, and later in the Be’eri pre-military academy—she demonstrated natural leadership, a strong sense of justice, and the ability to inspire and influence those around her. Her character radiated inspiration and a deep belief in the power of the individual to create change.
In July 2023, Noam was drafted into the IDF as an observer and quickly became a central figure among her peers and those around her. On October 7, 2023, she was killed in the attack on the Nahal Oz outpost, at only 19 years of age.
Her memory is commemorated in many ways: through “In Noam Ways – The Public Service Centre,” as well as through educational initiatives, songs, exhibitions, and more. Noam’s legacy—her inspiration and her faith in the power of the individual to make a difference—continues to resonate in the hearts of many and remains the living spirit of “In Noam Ways.”
